Talking about myself makes me feel really self-conscious so I’ll try to keep it brief.
I have a congenital heart condition which I’ve had three open heart surgeries for. I now have a metallic heart valve and have to take daily medications and regular blood tests for the rest of my life. I’m doing pretty good, I think, although there are side-effects from the surgeries and medications that impact my life.
I also have some mental health issues (which yes, are partly due to my heart condition and surgeries). Depression and social anxiety are the main ones. I’m a bit of a recluse due to this and mostly stay home with my cats, Silas and Otis. I’ve always been rather introverted though so this fits me fine, most of the time. I does affect my ability to get a job though (i.e. I’m unemployed).
I used to be a music blogger at various sites until I got my own blog, I Am The Crime which is archived here.
I’ve studied a bit of psychology, sociology, literature, and creative writing.
My tumblr blog mostly consists of art, music, fashion, pop culture, and photos of cats. There used to be a lot more politics but I’ve decided to cut back on that for the sake of my mental well being.
