Though Star Horse may call Stockholm, Sweden home, their songs, particularly new one “Marybelle”, sound more like they grew up rubbing shoulders with Seam or perhaps swiping Flying Saucer Attack’s effects chains. The song opens with a beautiful Ida-esque lead before being crushed by a tremendous wall of guitars recalling Seam’s “Granny 9X”, but with a little extra dream topping and a soaring vocal melody. “Marybelle” is one from a new, appropriately-titled four-track EP ‘Crush’, which will be released October 1st! The artwork is lovely, the songs are even dreamier, and you should PROBABLY preorder it now!
